Seattle Cooking Classes & Private Events

Inspired by connection, community and companionship

Experience the most unique and memorable culinary experience that Seattle has to offer

In 2005, I created Diane's Market Kitchen by combining my passion for food and wine, my enjoyment for teaching and creating a comfortable, inviting environment and my commitment to balancing those for a life of health and well being.

I invite you into my kitchen to share time and conversation with my other guests and learn about the best of the Northwest's foods, local farmers and vendors.

With love, trust and gratitude,

What I Offer

Explore the Pike Place Market through stories of the farmers and producers, a menu inspired by their products and a hands-on cooking class where you will use the fresh local ingredients found there. Diane's Market Kitchen: where cooking, connecting, companionship, and community combine to create a memory.

My Story Starts in the Kitchen

Beginning with what amounted to a concrete box, significant imagination and varied talents were needed to transform what amounted to a “garage” into a space to be filled with food, family and friends, and experiences to enrich the body and spirit…

  • “Diane is so personable, skilled, and knowledgable. You can tell that she is truly passionate about her work, and she took the time to make the experience personal and special. I immediately recommended Diane's class to my whole friend group and enthusiastically encourage anyone to go!”

    -Kelsey K.

  • “Diane truly cares about delivering an amazing experience. Her knowledge of the community, food, plus her wit made this an extraordinary experience for our team. You will come away feeling like you spent some time with family you didn’t know you had and they fed you a really delicious meal.”

    -Heidi B.

  • “We will absolutely be returning to Diane's for another cooking class! The menu was so unique and all the ingredients were local to the PNW. After making hors devours, we learned how to make Northern style Italian lasagna bolognese with homemade pasta. Throughout the evening, Diane shared fascinating stories while her assistant helped serve local wines. It was a very memorable evening and learned so much.”

    -Morgan I.

  • “Diane will simultaneously teach, inspire, and entertain you. Her approach to sourcing quality, accessible ingredients is what makes her recipes the best. She’s kind, curious, and a great local source for food hacks and insider info on the best producers. While learning to make dinner, I learned tips that will change the way I shop and cook. You can tell she loves to learn and innovate while she teaches her students to do the same. Highly recommend! We will be back!”
